Having completed schooling and extended schooling in junior college/ XI-XII, a Young Adult is faced with a myriad of choices and constraints. At the age of 17, one has to make the most critical decision of ones life in choosing the correct degree/ vocational program to choose based on ones understanding, financial ability, constraints, talents, interests.

Often, we simply follow the crowd and do what we want simply because of majority opinion. This is in reality the time to pause-reflect-decide-action, the PRDA cycle before moving forward. This is truly the moment of decision which will have the most impact on the rest of the Young Adults life and it pays to make this decision in the best way possible.

Pause-Reflect phase…

RDC Recommend education choices scientifically through,
  •  Profiling,
  •  Career counseling
  •  Experiential learning

The Young Adult is given an objective analysis of his talents and a few recommended career choices. Then encouraged to go through a phase where he reflects through an experiential workshop and with an experienced cousellor.

Decide-Action phase…

Having introspected, retrospected, inspected, fellow-spected, respected, prospected, etc-spected, a decision is made with a lot of anticipation of the future, anguish at the (however remote) possibility of not having made the right choice, the Young Adult is discouraged from following through on the decision. Yes, discouraged not encouraged.

This helps reinforce the decision if correct or bring out gaps/ clarity. Then it is time to action. RDC provides a host of action options to the Young Adult,

  1. Study abroad with reputed universities.
  2. Join a job and study while you earn.
  3. Join a course which allows you to earn while you study.
  4. Join a flexible program at your own pace.
  5. Take up a job, forget studies.
  6. Take up a vocational training – certificate, diploma, degree.
  7. Get funded for your ideas and attempt to become a millionaire in your teens or early twenties.

And more…
This covers the gamut of options open and with RDCs backing and experience, it makes Action easier. This is the moment of first concrete action for the rest of the Young Adults life and the Young Adult is facilitated through the entire process, step-by-step, concern-by-concern, reassurance-by-reassurance, counsel-by-counsel.
